Some Critical of HHonors Move To Raise Points for Free Stays

Barbara DaLollis’ Hotel Check In blog in USA TODAY is highly critical of Hilton HHonors’ decision to raise the points required to redeem free nights at Hilton hotels.
Is this a prudent decision?  Or will it receive tremendous backlash from the membership?
Honestly, the threshold has been too low, in my opinion, as a HHonors member.

STR Forecast Updated

Smith Travel has updated their forecasts for 2009, 2010 and now 2011.
2010 will rebound slightly, but the real optimism is reserved for 2011.
